A Blackbox Production

Join us for Mary Zimmerman's groundbreaking adaptation, featuring a 23-foot reflecting pool in Hanford's intimate, Blackbox theater.

Metamorphoses is an adaptation of the Roman poet Ovid's work, featuring several myths centered around the idea of how love and relationships change us, for better and for worse.

  • Content Warning: Metamorphoses includes themes of incest and suicide and is best suited for mature high school students and up.

  • Due to the shallow pool being used in the theater, audience members in the first row (A) may be splashed by moving actors.

  • NO LATE SEATING.

  • For wheelchair/handicap accessible seating (seats that do not require navigating stairs), please call Brenda Izqueirdo at the HHS bookkeeping office (509-967-6513)

  • Runtime is 90 minutes with no intermission.
